Criteria I kept in mind to analyze the solos have been taken from the book “How to improvise – an approach to practicing improvisation” by Hal Crook. 
The author of this book had already extracted the different components one can practice for playing a solo, so it made sense to me to use the ones which I felt were useful on a macro-level.
